Fiesta Beans are a relatively new variety from Sweet Rock Farm on Gabriola Island. Similar to a kidney bean, they can be used much the same way. These beans are packed with flavour, making them ideal to serve on their own with a minimum of seasoning. They double in size after soaking, keep their shape, and have a wonderful creamy texture to them. Perfect for soups, stews, chili, the Fiesta is sure to become a favourite in your kitchen!

Cooking, Preparation & Storage
Cooking and Preparation:
Soak over night, drain and bring to a boil for 10 minutes in fresh water, then simmer for 2-3 hours. Add seasonings, or other ingredients once the beans are softened.
These beans are perfect for storing over the winter, they can be kept sealed in the freezer, or in a well-sealed jar in a cool and dry environment. Use within one year of purchase for the best flavour.
