This heirloom open-pollinated bush bean has a distinctive black & white shell. Growing to about 18" tall and 20" wide, these heavy producers contain 4-8 beans per pod. They can be harvested young and eaten fresh, or harvested when mature as dry beans. Rich in fibre and protein, these powerhouse plants are pollinator-friendly nitrogen-fixers for your soil.

    Direct sow at the end of May/early June, during a warm spell. Cold, wet soil causes the seeds to rot. Depth: 1" Spacing: 6" Germination: 6-10 days. Days to maturity for green beans: 55-65 days. Days to maturity for dry beans: 85-100 days. Full sun, well-drained soil.
