This open-pollinated bush bean is one of the most cultivated beans in the world. Growing to about 18" tall and 20" wide, these heavy producers contain 5-8 beans per pod. Best when harvested mature as dry beans. they're a staple in refried beans, chili and veggie burgers. Rich in fibre and protein, these powerhouse plants are also nitrogen-fixers for your soil

    Direct sow at the end of May/early June, during a warm spell. Cold, wet soil causes the seeds to rot. Depth: 1" Spacing: 6" Germination: 6-10 days. Days to maturity for dry beans: 85-100 days. Full sun, well-drained soil.
